The legend of Lindy Hop swing dance Frankie Manning passed away this morning some days before his big 95th birthday party! (the biggest swing event ever happened in the world)
Frankie Manning was truly a world ambassador of swing dance. His fabulous dancing and radiant smile served as inspiration to generations of lindy hop enthusiasts, but he was modestly saying, “I’m not interested in fame and glory; it’s just that I would like others to know what a happy dance this is.”
R.I.P. and so long our wonderful teacher!
